The moss-covered lava plains of Skaftarhraun create an incredibly alien-looking world, stretching for kilometers along the Ring Road.

This site of turf-roofed buildings and chapel is located in the Skaftárhreppur district, just to the west of Skaftafell National Park.

Jökulsárlón is a glacial lake in Vatnajökull National Park. It is only 1.5 kilometers from the Atlantic Ocean and is the deepest lake in Iceland, at a maximum depth of nearly 250 m. It has played host to a number of films and adverts. The reason for this is as clear as the water after viewing it.
